From Humble Beginnings to a core growing Legacy: The Story of Anand Oil Industries In the quiet village of Cherickal, Vaikom, a seed was sown in 1999 that would grow into one of Kerala’s most trusted names in edible oil distribution — Anand Oil Industries. The journey began with the vision and determination of Mr. T. V. Aniyan, a man with simple means but extraordinary ambition. What started as a small retail shop selling edible oils quickly evolved. By the very next year, in 2000, Mr. Aniyan ventured into manufacturing with a modest coconut oil production unit in a rented building at Thottakam, Vaikom. Recognising the need for direct market access, he pioneered van sales in the early 2000s — delivering oil directly to small retailers and supermarkets. By 2002, Anand Oil Industries had built a unique model in van sales that blended personal relationships with wide distribution. In 2007, the brand took a significant leap forward with the launch of ‘Kerasree Coconut Oil’ — its own premium brand. This marked the beginning of a brand journey that would earn the trust of thousands of families across Kerala. Over a decade of relentless hard work bore fruit in 2015, when Mr. Aniyan established the company’s own facility: a 7000 sq. ft warehouse, a 3000 kg/day expeller unit, and an advanced packaging line for both pouches and bottles — all set up on his own land. That same year, the company officially came under the proprietorship of his wife, Mrs. Noby Leela, who continued the legacy with quiet strength and purpose. In 2015, their son Mr. Amal A, armed with a postgraduate degree in Business Management and Marketing, joined the firm as a sales representative. From those early ground-level experiences, he steadily grew into the role of a leader. But the journey was not without its trials. In 2021, the family and company faced an irreplaceable loss with the sudden passing of its beloved founder, Mr. T. V. Aniyan. Stepping into the role with courage and clarity, Amal A became the Managing Director, guiding the firm through a new era. That same year, Anand Oil Industries achieved a milestone turnover of ₹24 crore. The momentum continued, and by 2023, Mrs. Noby Leela officially declared her son Amal A as the power agent of the firm — a symbol of both trust and transition. Alongside him, his wife Dr. Aryalekshmi joined the team as the head of accounts, bringing professional rigour to the company’s financial management. In 2024, Anand Oil Industries celebrated a proud milestone — 25 years of excellence, its Silver Jubilee. It was a moment to look back on decades of perseverance, resilience, and evolution. By the end of FY 2024–25, the company recorded a turnover of ₹31 crore, a testament to the combined efforts of a new generation building on a strong foundation. Today, Anand Oil Industries stands as a symbol of how a family’s dedication can turn a small dream into a thriving enterprise — with roots in tradition and eyes on the future.
